His debut album was a fascinating firework of diverse musical styles, while his second work, “One Color,” marked both the completion of his studies and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the South Korean artist Crayon 88.
After earning his master’s degree in pop music in Germany, Crayon 88 returned to his homeland last summer to fully dedicate himself to his work as an artist and producer. He is now presenting his third album in South Korea as another homage to his graduation projects. On “TABU,” which will be released on May 22, 2026, he focuses entirely on pop music. With the third single “Real,” we hear creative alternative pop with influences of trendy hyperpop.

Sein Debütalbum war ein faszinierendes Feuerwerk verschiedenster Musikstile, während das zweite Werk „One Color“ des südkoreanischen Künstlers Crayon 88 den Abschluss seines Studiums und gleichzeitig den Beginn eines aufregenden neuen Kapitels markierte.
Nach seinem Masterabschluss in „Popmusik“ in Deutschland kehrte Crayon 88 im vergangenen Sommer in seine Heimat zurück, um sich ganz seiner Arbeit als Künstler und Produzent zu widmen. Nun präsentiert er in Südkorea sein drittes Album als eine weitere Hommage an seine Abschlussprojekte. Auf „TABU“, das am 22. Mai 2026 erscheint, konzentriert er sich ganz auf Popmusik. Mit der dritten Single „Real“ bekommen wir kreative alternative Pop Musik zuhören mit Einflüssen von trendigem Hyperpop.

South Korean Crayon 88 has been producing electronic music for many years and his music can be heard on various TV shows in his home country. Due to his music studies, he has been living in Germany for a few years and his connections to South Korea have led to him producing music for fashion shows in this country and being a sought-after DJ for major K-Pop events in Europe.
With the song «Door» Crayon 88 gives us an exciting mix of K-pop and German hyperpop, with the extravagant Malu Kami.

Aufgrund seines Musikstudiums lebt er seit ein paar Jahren in Deutschland und seine Verbindungen nach Südkorea führten dazu, dass er hierzulande unter anderem für Fashion Shows Musik produziert und ein begehrter DJ für grosse K-Pop Events in Europa ist.
